Plot Ideas This is where you can post plot ideas involving your character. They can be discussed between other players as well before you start roleplaying it out.
Canon: Takes place in the main setting, and all characters remain in character. This is your basic type of RP on the forum. Crack Will be a roleplay that takes place in the crack/alternate universe board. Usually silly, where the characters can act however you'd like, and literacy is not a requirement. Alternate Universe Will be a roleplay that takes place in the crack/alternate universe board. Have a plot idea that involves vampires? Perhaps werewolves or water dwelling creatures like mermaids? Do you want your character to become something that wouldn't exist in the normal Pokemon universe, or have the setting be medieval? Those ideas go here.

restrictions on pokémon I. Pokémon If you are playing a Pokémon, you are a wild Pokémon by default. Unless you wish to be captured, you will stay wild. Pokémon owned by a trainer are by default that person's NPCs.
II. Capturing Pokémon Wild Pokémon being played by actual players can only be captured if discussed between both parties involved. If the played Pokémon does not wish to be captured, the other player cannot force the capture, they will stay wild. The played wild Pokémon will stay played even after capture, unlike other captured Pokemon, and therefore can disobey his/her trainer. However, once a deal has been made between two players, the Pokémon should not 'run away' from its trainer.
III. Legendary/Mythical Pokémon Legendary/Mythical Pokémon are to be played on a first come first serve basis. There is to only be one of each Legendary/Mythical. Trainers may not own Legendary Pokémon unless they are staff or have a high rank in the Roleplay. The Legendary Birds (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres) are already owned by the team leaders and are not to be played unless discussed with that team leader. If you wish to play as one of the Legendary Birds, you must be owned by either Blanche, Spark, or Candela.
IV. Shiny Pokémon Shiny Pokémon are to be played by the player's discretion. However, all legendaries or mythicals should not be shiny unless there is a reason for them to be (i.e. the player does not like the legendary's original colors or really prefers the shiny). Shinies will not be accepted if there are way too many of a certain pokémon being shiny. Please contact the admin if you are questioning whether or not the shiny version of a pokémon is acceptable.
V. Alolan Forms Must make sense for the character. Either a Pokémon that has traveled from Alola to Eleais alone, or has come over from Alola with a Trainer. You cannot play an alolan form of a Pokémon just because it is preferable to you. It must have a background story that makes sense.
VI. Pokémon Types Restrictions on Pokémon types are not very harsh. If there is an overload of a certain type though, that type will be closed for the time being until the others get closer to its number. Check the Pokémon section to see what types are open or what types are closed.
VII. Pokémon Species The restrictions on Pokemon species are much like that of Pokémon types. Check the Pokémon section to see what species are open or closed. They are listed in Alphabetical Order for ease of use.
VIII. Pokémon Trainer Teams Trainers must also check which types/species are open when creating the teams for their trainer. For a fun way to create a team of six, go to randompokemon.com/ and generate six Pokémon at once. This will give you a full team of randomly generated Pokémon. If one of the Pokémon on the team is a Legendary, please reroll (changing the number of Pokémon you generate to the number of Legendaries that showed up.)
PLEASE CONTACT Allied Paths IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ABOVE RULES.

Forum Rules I. Usernames Usernames should be the first name of your character to make everyone easier to tag.
II. Faceclaims Faceclaims may be pieces of artwork, real people (for trainer characters) or anime characters.
III. Canon Characters Canon characters are only to be played by special requests. This includes canonical characters from both games and the Pokemon anime. Team Leaders may only be played by Staff.
IV. Kindness Is Key It is a policy here on Allied Paths to be respectful to everyone. All out of character interactions must be kind and courteous to your fellow members. If you need to discuss something with someone that involves anger - please take it to PM. Do not fight on the public boards unless it's within Roleplay.
V. Maturity This is a Mature Roleplay Forum. However, extremely explicit or graphic content threads must be labeled as such. Although this is a mature forum, that does not mean we want to see pornographic images or anything else extremely inappropriate. Take it elsewhere, it will not be accepted here. Be reminded that there are younger people on the Roleplay as well. This site is 13+.
ROLEPLAY RULES
VI. Literacy To be in this Roleplay, you must be semi-literate to literate. That means we do not expect posts to be 50 paragraphs long every time, but they should be at least 2 a majority of the time.
VII. Attacks Attacking other characters is only to be allowed after communication between the two or more people that would be involved in the scene.
VIII. Pokémon If you are playing a Pokémon, you are a wild Pokémon by default. Unless you wish to be captured, you will stay wild. Pokémon owned by a trainer are by default that person's NPCs.
IX. Capturing Pokémon Wild Pokémon being played by actual players can only be captured if discussed between both parties involved. If the played Pokémon does not wish to be captured, the other player cannot force the capture, they will stay wild. The played wild Pokémon will stay played even after capture, unlike other captured Pokémon, and therefore can disobey his/her trainer. However, once a deal has been made between two players, the Pokémon should not 'run away' from its trainer.
X. Legendary/Mythical Pokémon Legendary/Mythical Pokémon are to be played on a first come first serve basis. There is to only be one of each Legendary and Mythical. The Legendary Birds (Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres) are already owned by the team leaders and are not to be played unless discussed with that team leader. If you wish to play as one of the Legendary Birds, you must be owned by either Blanche, Spark, or Candela.

Getting Started Need help getting started here on Allied Paths?
Here are the suggested steps to follow.
I. Read the About section. Are you interested in the Roleplay? If you are, great! Move onto step two. If you aren't, that's fine too! Go ahead and leave. I won't be offended! The RP isn't for everyone.
II. Read the information in the Rules and Regulations board. Be sure to follow those rules, or face the consequences.
III. Decide what sort of character you want to play as. Are you going to play a Pokémon or a Human character? If a Pokémon, look at step 4. If a human character, look at step 5.
IV. Look at the Pokémon Board. Look at the types board first. Make sure the type of Pokémon you want to play as is available. If it is, look at the list next. Is the Pokémon you want to play as available? Do you want to play as a legendary/mythical Pokémon? If you do, make sure you talk to the admin first. As a guest, you can post in the help board. Once you figure that out, move to step 6.
V. Figure out where you think your character belongs. Are they going to be on a team? What sort of Pokémon are they going to own? Are they a new trainer, or an established one? Do you want to be someone of importance, like a gym leader or a professor? If you do, make sure you talk to the admin first. As a guest, you can post in the help board. Once you figure that out, look at step 6.
VI. Now that you have your character figured out, it's time to find a definite faceclaim! For Pokémon, just find some pretty pictures of that Pokémon. However, for a trainer, finding a faceclaim can be harder! Remember, you can make an OC or you can play as a Canon character. If you're playing as a Canon character, the faceclaim is already out there for you. If you're going to play as an OC, look for a real person, an anime character, or make some art of your character/commission someone to draw them for you.
VII. One you have everything above figured out, it's time to register! Remember to make your username your character's first name. This includes Pokémon names. Even though played Pokémon are usually wild, they should have a name as well to make it easier. Legendary/Mythical Pokémon should register with the name of that Pokémon rather than a name the player creates.
VIII. Time to work on biographies, appearance threads, etc. If you need help with any of this, feel free to ask a staff member!
IX. Time for the fun to start. Make your first roleplay post! Either start a thread, or reply to an Open one!
X. HAVE FUN!

Occupations Team Leader Leader of one of the four teams. These, along with the Professors, are the most important people in the roleplay. The leaders of Team Mystic, Valor, and Instinct are Pokémon Masters. Professor Pokémon Professors. Very knowledgable about the Pokémon world and Pokémon themselves. Gym Leader Leader of one of the gyms in a city or town. They usually specialize in one type of Pokémon. Officer These people make sure all laws are upheld, and are there to protect people from danger. Nurse Healers of Pokémon. Work at Pokémon Centers. Business Owner Owners of stores, shops, or other businesses like restaurants. Professor's Aide Helper for a Professor, often by their side. Trainer Just your average Pokémon owner. Battle the creatures for fun. Tamed Pokémon Belongs to a Trainer. Wild Pokémon Does not belong to a Trainer.

Pokémon list Read before anything The Pokémon Listed here are from all of the generations . They are in alphabetical order and there will be an indication of whether or not they are open. Also, their typing will be listed as well. If listed as Open, you can simply go ahead and create that one. If listed as PM, please send a PM to admin! If listed as Closed, obviously do not make that character. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please let me know if any Pokemon are missing, or if any legendaries are listed as 'open' rather than PM.

About Eleais Eleais is a Pokémon Region created specifically for this roleplay. It is based around how the games work so it is separated into different towns and cities all connected by different routes. Each town, city, or island is different and unique in its own way. Each section of the region was named for the type of Pokémon that was most common in the area.
Aer Island Roughly translates to 'Air Island', this island is known for its unique shape and gorgeous atmosphere. It houses a Flying Type gym.
Aqua City Translates to 'Water City.' This city is extremely unique because it is almost completely submerged underwater. It is protected by a glass dome surrounding a majority of it, and air is continuously pumped in to make it a liveable area. It functions like a rather normal city, everything is grounded and the actual city itself does not feel wet at all, therefore you can not swim around unless there is a pool. There is an elevator on route seven that takes you down into the city. Team Mystic's Headquarters are located here, the top half just out of the water. There is also a Water Type based gym. You can always see water type Pokémon and other ocean dwelling creatures swimming about if you look up or look outside of the glass globe. The second largest of the four cities, equal in size to Ignis City.
Draco Island Translates to 'Dragon Island.' This island is round in shape and has a small city built upon it. It has a Dragon Type Gym, and the Pokémon Colosseum, where Eleais's Pokémon League takes place, and where trainers can go to practice against each other.
Fae Forest Roughly translates to 'Fairy Forest.' This forest is beautiful but dense and easy to get lost in. A lot of wild Pokémon can be found here, and the Meadows are just a wonderful place to go and have a picnic.
Glacies Town Roughly translates to 'Ice Town.' It is a town always covered in ice and snow, built upon a mountain. There is an Ice Type Gym here.
Herba City Roughly translates to 'Grass City.' The smallest of the four cities in Eleais. It is a gorgeous very green and modern city. There are plants everywhere. Herba City prides itself on cleanliness and clean air. The Professors all have their laboratory here in one large building, and Herba also proudly has a Grass Type gym.
Ignis City Translates to 'Fire City.' This is the second largest of the four cities in Eleais equal to Aqua City. The buildings all have a red or orange glow to them that make them look like they're on fire. The sky almost always looks like its full of flames, here. There is a Fire Type gym here. Team Valor makes their home here with their Headquarters.
Petram Town Roughly translates to 'Rock Town.' This town is unique because it is built into the side of the mountain that Glacies Town is on top of, and therefore all of the buildings are made out of rock. It is probably one of the smallest towns. However, there is a Rock Type gym to be found here.
Sanctus Caves Translates to 'Ghost Caves.' The caves just outside of Tempestatis City that are the only known pathway into Tenebris Town other than taking the Train. They are very pretty, but at the same time, dark. Many trainers do not dare to enter - for the only thing that will great them on the other side is the fear inducing Tenebris Town.
Tempestatis City Roughly translates to 'Storm City.' Sometimes just called Tempest City. There is always a lightning storm going on in the sky above this city, and the clouds are always dark. The people who live here are accustomed to the loud booms and rumbles of thunder. Despite the lightning and thunder being so common, it doesn't rain extremely often. The city's architecture is very industrial, and although usually rather gray, there is plenty of glowing yellow to be seen within the city as well. Although it is loud and definitely not for everyone, and can even spook some, the people who do live in the city find the rumbles of thunder to be soothing, and enjoy a stormy day anywhere else. There is an Electric Type gym here. Also, Team Instinct calls Tempestatis home with their Headquarters being located here. This is the largest of the four cities.
Tenebris Town Roughly translates to 'Dark Town.' This town is the type of town that a lot of people don't want to be in. It's dark and can be considered scary. It is almost always night and is very dimly lit. The only light usually seen is from the constant glow of the moon. Many of the buildings look medieval style, or old and decrepit. There is a Dark Type/Ghost Type Gym located here, located on a hill so it's bathed in the almost ethereal and ghostly light of the moon. Team Rocket has their Headquarters here, in one of the dark corners of town.
Terra Town Translates to 'Earth Town.' This is where many young trainers make their start. It is a very normal small town, where everyone knows everyone. There is no gym here, but there is still a Pokémon Center.

About allied paths Allied Paths is a roleplay based around Pokémon. This includes the games, the anime series, and Pokémon Go. Allied Paths takes place the the region of Eleais, which was created specifically for this roleplay. The roleplay does not discriminate between generations, and therefore, all of the Pokémon from all generations are allowed.
You can either play as a Pokémon Trainer or a Pokémon. Characters can do anything you can think of - including owning a business, going on travels to become a Pokémon Master, wandering through the wilds, or being apart of a team that will become like your family. There are plenty of locations to explore within Eleais.
The three Pokémon Go Teams play a pivotol role to the basic plot, while the Evil Team Rocket schemes in the background. It's up to the three teams to stop their nefarious plans. To do that, though, they will have to set aside their differences and come together - but rivalries still ride high. Will the Teams be able to form an alliance in time before Team Rocket takes over? Join us to help fight the good fight - or join the side of evil and cause chaos and mayhem. Your destiny is for you to decide.
